415 Marine Parade

Esther and Tom are the most fabulous hosts. Their property is ideally located and immaculate. The bed was large and comfortable, the furnishings were modern, the bathroom was spacious and up to date. We travelled in winter and there was heating in the room, an electric blanket on the bed, extra blankets in the wardrobe. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh, with a cooked option. There were plenty of little touches that made the stay extra special, like fruit in the room, and a small port decanter each evening.

This is very much the place to stay if visiting Napier. Esther and her husband are terrific hosts and add in a very pleasant welcome drinks session around 5 pm. The situation is right on the seafront and a pleasant walk into the old town. Breakfasts were superb. It is very much at the upper end of the price range but we felt that it was worth it. Esther was particularly helpful in suggesting a guided tour of the town. Not something we would normally do, but this was different with just four guests sharing a personalised tour in an open top 1940 Packard car with a very experienced and helpful guide.

Nothing to dislike

We had a wonderful stay at 415 Marine Parade during our honeymoon in New Zealand. Esther and Tom are truly kind and welcoming hosts who made our stay extra special. The room was cozy, comfortable, and well equipped. We especially loved the lovely view from the balcony, which made it a perfect place to relax.

Tom and Esther were attentive and thoughtful hosts. We enjoyed our time in Napier and much was due to their recommendations! The breakfasts, midday treats and happy hour drinks did not disappoint either. We recommend highly 415 Marine Parade — the only B and B experience out of several tries that my husband enjoyed!

It is a lovely property; beautifully designed and with lots of thoughtful touches: a lift (even though there are only 2floors), welcome drinks and coffee/snacks available all day. The hosts are super welcoming and breakfast is great. It’s within walking distance of restaurants and bars

Absolutely nothing!

Personal service. Our hostess made us a cup of tea on our arrival. The happy hour with the hosts and other guests was a pleasant way to conclude the day. The carafe of port in our room when we returned from dinner was a nice touch.

Everything! Tom and Esther were excellent hosts. Nothing was to much trouble. The food was lovely. House was immaculate. Lovely decor. Will definitely go back.😊

A great guesthouse with lovely, clean, spacious rooms. Perfect location, within easy walking distance of everything we needed, and surrounded by excellent restaurants. Tom and Esther were fantastic hosts.

Beautifully done up B & B. Every detail is looked after from comfortable beds, robes, great shower & treats! Large room upstairs with small sitting alcove & terrace overlooking the water across the street. Even has elevator to upper floor. Hosts are charming & breakfast was delicious with fresh squeezed OJ, cereal & fresh fruit, scones & jam & poached egg if you wanted. Hosts assisted with airport pick up, restaurant recommendations & could not have been more helpful Easy 20 min walk into town much is a delight
