Esther & Tom are delightful hosts. We loved our stay. Every detail from the linens, to wool blankets, to chocolates on the bed. The breakfast was delicious. The place is in walking distance to everything you would want to see in Napier. If you thinking of booking this place the answer is YES.

Just A maz ING !!! What a treat to stay. A wonderful welcoming place in the centre of Napier. Close by the sea, the beach, the beautiful boulevard, the restaurants and the shops. It immediately felt like home. Esther and Tom are the most lovely hosts, you’ll may experience. Nothing is too much trouble, just perfect in every way. Esther has amazing home cooking and fresh baking available for the mornings and afternoon. They are also full of local knowledge and trivia, if you need any recommendation for visiting places in the area. The house and the rooms are spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Fantastic bathrooms with walk-in shower, heated floors and luxurious toiletries. So many lovely things are presented, like homemade cakes or cookies when you arrive back at home in the afternoon. Freshly made, fruit salads, cakes, jams, and bread in the morning with the choice of either cooked or continental breakfast. Drinking tea or wine in the afternoon with all sorts of freshly made nibbles. Port and chocolates at bedtime. We’ve stayed at many 5 star accomodations in the world , but this place is so much more…… Words fail us; you have to see and experience it for yourself! Therefore, we would encourage anyone visiting Napier in New Zealand to treat themselves to this quintessential experience. Our stay at this luxury accomodation, 415 Marine Parade was definitely one of the most memorable stays of our holiday in New Zealand. It was sad to move on, but we will definitely return to this place when we return to NZ. Esther and Tom, thank you for your generous hospitality. XXX R&B

Every little luxury considered and Tom & Esther were the most divine, generous and accommodating hosts. We felt so looked after and they really make sure you feel like you’re on holiday.

A wonderfully restored Victorian house. Room: comfortable, cosy, plush with lovely little details in sitting colours, sea view. Bathroom: heated floor and towel rack, toiletries, rain shower, lighting bathrobes. Dining room: comfortable, coffee, tea, water & snacks, sun deck. Excellent breakfast, afternoon drinks with canapés.
