La Maracuya Panama

Beautiful pool overlooking a wide open country side area (the Pacific and Coronado are 20 minutes away)that was very peaceful and tranquil. The staff were very friendly and open to our needs. We had meals there all three days and they were well prepared and tasty. We would walk and meet the neighbors(we speak Spanish) which were happy to visit and then come back to the pool for the rest of the day. As mentioned by others, you will see many different birds coming by to get a drink and refresh by the water. Our room opened to the wide open country side and was very private. There are just three rooms here so you get lots of private space, it’s a very romantic place.

The internet doesn’t reach the two back rooms where we were, but the new owners who arrived the night before we left are up grading that so that should not be a problem soon. We got wifi by the pool and dining areas. We managed fine as it was.

Bit dark at night but no problem

This property was nothing like the photos. They were not ready when we showed up and it looked like they were going to move their family members out of the rooms for us to stay. We did not stay, we left.

Beautiful mountain property, only 3 or 4 rooms in the whole place .. . beautiful pool. Great food made by wonderful staff. Did everything to make our stay enjoyable.

There was only one television on the property . . . but we got to use it!

A very beautiful property which is nicely maintained, the pool area was the highlight for us with comfortable seating and a great view of the countryside and of the Pacific Ocean (in the distance)

Access to the Villa/room at night was a bit dark. We used our phone lights to guide us. It’s only about 20 meters though.

This place is beautiful! The staff is so kind and helpful. Do not miss having La Maracuya make you a dinner. The dinner is perfectly sized, perfectly cooked and perfectly flavored. The pool is the perfect way to cool off and relax.

It is located quite a ways from the main road but really that makes the location even better

Beds were comfy, the room was beautiful. Local staff was very friendly! The tub was amazing.

There were lots of ants in the bathroom when we arrived, by the time we checked out there weren’t any. The wifi did not reach our room at all making it hard to work at night. Commented this (the wifi issue) to the host after arriving but received no answer. The door that lead to the outdoor shower would not lock so we did not feel very safe at night before going to sleep. Would recommend adding more lighting at night so guests can have better vision when walking around the facilities, there are many thing you can trip on or hurt yourself with if you do not have a flashlight.
