Mount Palace

Widok wynagradzał podejście do hotelu. Na miejscu restauracja, w której można tanio zjeść.

Nie dało się zmienić temperatury w klimatyzacji, brak moskitiery przeszkadzał trochę bo w pokoju było trochę owadów.

Comfortable, view and staff are very good. Worth the stay

Schimmel im ganzen Obergeschoss und extrem in einem Zimmer Die Bilder der Zimmer entsprechen nicht dem Ist Zustand, z. B. wurden die Duschkabinen wurden abgebaut. Sri lankisches Frühstück erst ab 8 Uhr möglich, davor nur mageres englisches Frühstück verfügbar. Versprochener kostenloser Transport zum Bahnhof musste doch bezahlt werden

po dojechaniu wszystko jest okej, po przejściu przez taras i „jadalnię” jest ładnie, ale po wejściu do pokoju czar pryska, mrówki chodzą po podłodze, lustro w pokoju nie widziało wody od miesięcy, a drzwi balkonowe to mimo że zamknięte gdyby mocniej pchnąć to cała framuga i drzwi odpadają, a to dopiero lepsza część pokoju, teraz łazienka, która woła o pomstę do nieba. Lustro które ledwo co wisiało przed jakimś oknem nie mytym od lat było brudne, a między tym oknem a lustrem były po prostu śmieci, w łazience śmierdziało, było brudno, w kątach kafelek był grzyb, obiekt kompletnie nieprzygotowany do użytkowania przez odwiedzających, na szczęście byliśmy tylko dwie noce i tylko żeby spać. Mieliśmy też wliczone śniadanie, w którym były do wyboru opcje albo lankijskie, albo angielskie, chcieliśmy angielskie, była to MISKA, podkreślam MISKA (dodam zdjęcie) owoców, tosty, herbata, oraz omlet, wszystko było by okej, aczkolwiek w cukrze który dostaliśmy do posłodzenia herbaty coś chodziło (jakiś mały insekt), a same sztućce były raz niedomyte, a drugi raz były na nich kropelki po płynie do zmywania.

Mount palace had a great view of Kandy city below, but i found the cleanliness of the hotel to be poor. I also had no hot water for shower use during my stay. Landy can get quite cold during the evening and showing in cold water was definitely not pleasant. There was also quite a bit of noise going on around the hotel from different sorts of activity. It wasnt the quiet retreat i expected. The staff were friendly and good to deal with for the most part. It was quite a bit of a walk up hill on a very bad road full of pot holes and there were stray dogs lurking around the area, which puts you on edge. The floor seemed like it had a bit of oil residue and didnt feel clean to walk on. The matress and pillows smelled bad and i had to ask for an extra sheet to put down and lay on. Only a flat sheet was initially provided for cover during sleep; i had to ask for extra layers which the staff provided. The restaurant area downstairs was quite nice to sit in and watch the view. The breakfast was not very nice, which ive found at a lot of the inclusive breakfast accomodations ive stayed at. The only decent thing about this hotel was the view you get. Over all i unfortunately wouldnt stay here again.

The hotel is situated right at the top of a hill so there were stunning views from the room, overlooking the city of Kandy. Plus a lovely balcony to sit and relax.

The walk up the hill can be quite challenging if you're walking it, however very easy to grab a tuk tuk to get to the hotel.
