Cozy decor.

Maria was an excellent host. We stayed in the small villa next to the house. It was spacious, with a nice bathroom. The view from the patio is awesome and there are a lot of birds chirping and singing. Breakfast was very good, with homemade jam. Maria gave us lots of information on restaurants and nearby sites to visit.

Just a tip, if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. There are farm animals and dogs nearby. But it is charming during the day to hear goats and chicken/rosters.

Maria is a delightful hostess who looked after us very well. Our room was extremely comfortable with a good view of the garden. Breakfast was varied and tasty especially Maria's home made cake and jams.

Breakfast was not an option but the coffee was fabulous. English was spoken which was a wonderful way to ask question about the country and culture. The house and particularly the bedroom is quaint and so charming. Everything we could possibly need was available.

The entrance to the property is a bit tight and we arrived when it was dark which gave us a small challenge.

Maria! She will help with restaurant arrangements and self-tours around the region. Watch the stars at night and listen to the farm animals, then sleep like a baby until the fresh breakfast in the morning. Drive only 20 minutes to see Coimbra or stay in the area to visit schist villages. I only wish we had planned more time there.

Absolutely no complaints. Easy, free parking.
