Great Breakfast. Was able to catch up on all our washing. Thankyou for that.

Lack of seating area inside for eating

The Rose Cottage B&B is located between Abel Tasman Park and the Picton ferry terminal, which worked for our driving holiday. It is in a quiet area of Richmond and not walking distance to the restaurants or grocery stores. The property's gardens are absolutely lovely. The breakfast provided in the small kitchenette located off of the bathroom was great. Hosts are very friendly.

There is no pool or sea views, as stated in the B&Bs listing. Apparently it was removed many years ago. Also take note that one has to walk through the bathroom area to access the small kitchenette.

Nice hosts, well equipped and comfortable. Breakfast was self making and washing but very good. Cut fruits for several days was nice too. Washing machine included

The room is an extension to the main house so you have to go around the house and privacy seems a bit limited. Not that bad but you have to know it before. Parking space is really steep and house can be missed easily, a little sign on entrance would help.

This was a little home from home. Plenty of room with a great shower. The price included breakfast; the fruit and yogurts were partially delicious. It was so nice to be able to sit out in the garden to enjoy both our evening meals and breakfast. The hosts, Louise and John made us very welcome and checked that we had everything we needed. I was able to do two washes, all for free, which was a great help. Louise suggested ‘Eat Italy’ where we were able to enjoy authentic Italian food and the staff were very chatty. So pleased we had found this delightful place for our three nights’ stay.

The only drawback was having to carry our suitcases up a couple of steep steps and round the back. It wasn’t a problem for us but might be for less able people. It certainly shouldn’t prevent anybody staying at this pretty place.
