Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean room and bathroom, good Wifi and a yummy and large breakfast (incl. fruits, different each day) with a gorgeous view of Ella Rock. It's just a few minutes by foot to town where you'll find shops and restaurants. Siddath explained where to find what and how to get to Ella Rock and Little Adam's Peak (both recommended hikes). Next to the guesthouse is a lady who provides laundry service. Good mosquito net around the bed. We very much enjoyed our stay and would stay there again any time. Note for the Ella Rock hike: on the train tracks, before Kithalella station, there was a group of locals trying to divert tourists and then posing as "guides". Be aware and ignore them. Just walk past them and follow the path like described by the Madushanka staff.

If you’re going to Ella, this is the place to stay at! Comfortable rooms, good water pressure in the shower, amazing balcony facing the mountains. Location from the main road was excellent, either via the slightly longer (and very beautiful) official road or the more fun shortcut on the other side of the house. Breakfast was fantastic, both big and delicious. We had so much fun with our amazing host Sidath, who was so kind and generous. Provided us with plenty of recommendations on what to do and how to do it in the area. We felt very well taken care of, if we come back to Ella we will stay here again.

Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Das Personal ist hilfsbereit, freundlich und geht auf Wünsche ein. Das obere Zimmer neben der Frühstücksterrasse ist sehr schön. Vom großen Balkon hat man einen herrlichen Blick auf den Ella Rock. Das Frühstück war lecker und reichhaltig. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut.

Everything went well, from my greeting from Siddarth (spelling?) to the room, take the KIng suite, it's superb, to the view which is majestic, to the upper deck, the breakfast. It's all sublime.

We absolutely loved our stay at Madushanka Resort . The space is amazing, peaceful, comfortable. Beautiful surroundings, waking up to the view of the mountain or falling asleep with sounds of the jungle felt incredible. The hosts are incredibly friendly and very helpful! The breakfast was probably one of the best if not the best we had during our entire trip in Sri Lanka. Highly recommended staying at Madushanka Resort!

The space is very charming and has views of trees and Ella rock, the moment I saw this and the balcony overlooking the rock - it was all I could have hoped for. I enjoy some beautiful mornings here. Sidarth was super helpful and attentive and took care of all my requirements. Breakfast was local and bountiful. The property offers excellent value for money. You can use the train tracks (carefully) for a short-cut into town - bypassing the longer steep route, you can also use this for convenient walks to Nine Arches Bridge, Ella Rock and The White Rabbit restaurant. I slept well here in the peace and quiet.

Shower is a little dated and could do with some updating.

We have been just for one night for a pitstop traveling south, it was unfortunately raining a lot but we had a nice welcome and the hotel is great located, clean and faces the Ella Rock with a nice view Breakfast was amazing ( ask for hoppers and coconut pancakes;) ) We absolutely recommend staying there also longer
