Madushanka Resort

We booked fairly late in the day and last minute, Madushanka were so accommodating for us, they even made us breakfast both days at 6am - great start to the day!

There was a funny stanky smell in the bathroom which at times was unpleasant.

Sidath, our host, is so friendly and hospitable. Showed us around the room, served us breakfast, helped us with shortcut directions to town and landmarks and was up for a good chat and a laugh. The room is lovely - big comfortable bed, clean bathroom, aircon & fan, fridge and more. The balcony is the best part - such an amazing view!! You can also see the train from the property. And it is very close to town.

Great breakfast with a wonderful view. Lovely host and very central using the railway track shortcut!

Die Unterkunft ist nicht so einfach zu finden und mit dem Auto scheint es ein weiter Weg dahin zu sein mit sehr engen Strassen. Das super coole ist aber, dass man dann zu Fuss über die Geleise in 3 Minuten das Zentrum erreicht, wo sich all die Restaurants und Läden befinden.

Wir hatten uns auf zwei "gleiche" Zimmer eingestellt und dann war das Zimmer im Erdgeschoss etwas enttäuschend, auch wenn es voll ok ist für den Preis:-)... das oberste Zimmer ist sehr schön und man hat sogar Ausblick auf den Ella Rock :-)

Great location especially when using the short cut to town - perfect combination of being close to town without being right in the mix. It’s quiet throughout the day - our room had a balcony which was great to chill out on. Above all we want to thank Sidath for his incredibly warm hospitality, he truly made our stay.

It was very close to everything and yet off the main road. I had my own private balcony where I saw monkeys in the trees nearby!

The bathroom plumbing wasn’t well vented so it had a bit of a swampy/methane smell
