So close to the Registan, peaceful courtyard, nice breakfast, great family owners.

The on street lighting is a little dark, be careful of your step. Not the fault of hotel.

Our taxi driver from the train station had never heard of this Guesthouse and had trouble finding it, which we thought did not bode well....but we were wrong! It's simply that it's new, and not yet popular. I confess it also wasn't our first choice, but those were full and this place seemed to have few but good reviews. And indeed we discovered that it was a better choice for us than the places I'd preferred on TA, mostly because the location just can't be beat - 3 minutes walk out of the small alleys, and there we were on the pedestrian walkway leading to the side of the Registan! It's also true that the owner doesn't speak English, which is true of almost everyone working in tourism in Uzbekistan, so we communicated by his speech-to-text translating app and mostly that worked fine. His grandson who speaks good English came by every afternoon/evening and helped with more complicated arrangements, but this won't last as he's soon on his way to study in Prague! The guesthouse itself was very comfortable, and the owner very eager to respond to the guests' needs; for example, he noticed that we bought our own cheese to add to breakfast, and the next morning cheese was suddenly on the breakfast table. We had a double room ensuite on the ground floor, opening into a lovely courtyard with tables, chairs and of course tapchan. We spent a lot of time hanging in the courtyard after our day's touring and also in the evenings, and were often joined by other guests, so the atmosphere was friendly and pleasant since breakfast is also served at one big table. We stayed here 5 nights, and though our room was a little small (though not really cramped), having that nice courtyard gave us plenty of room to relax. The owner found us a driver for a day trip to Urgut and Chor Chinor at a great price. We also got dragged into a family wedding on our alley, part of the guesthouse family's extended family!

Hotel Sharam Plus Sh is a family run guesthouse. It is quite recently built, well appointed and in very good condition. Everyone was very helpful, arranging transfers very efficiently, providing a comprehensive breakfast, ensuring very clean rooms and arranging laundry (although this was more expensive than elsewhere in Uzbekistan), and excursions. We stayed here for 5 nights, met some interesting other travellers and enjoyed Samarkand very much. The guesthouse is very well located for the Registan, a five minute walk away through a nice park, and other major sights such as the Bibi Khanam mosque. It is also very close to an area of shops and restaurants which was very useful (although quite touristy). Overall a good choice with very good service and great value.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Our room was spacious and very clean. Lots of hot water for the shower. The owner didn’t speak English but we used a translator app and had no problems. He was eager to please. Breakfast was good with lots of options. Laundry was expensive though at $15usd for a very !! Small bag of clothes. Located within walking distance of registan square and other sites. Would recommend.

I really liked this place. It's a great location about 5 mins from the Registan. The owner is great, he doesn't speak English but always has google translate on hand so was able to help with anything we needed, like booking a taxi. His grandson works here, is really friendly and speaks English well! One of us was quite sick (unrelated to the hotel) and we wanted a thermometer to check temperature and they had that. He's really interested in you enjoying the time in Samarkand. He's good fun too! The rooms are simple but very clean. Showers are good and hot. Wifi is good and consistent. The beds are quite comfortable by Uzbek standards. Breakfast was typical of Uzbek standards, good but nothing special. Perhaps a little haphazard. I'd recommend this hotel!

Hotel is clean, quite new, in a good location near Registan square and Bibi Khanym Mosque in a walking distance. Breakfast is simple. Staff is friendly and helpful. No problem with late check-in in the middle of the night. Wifi working fine.
