Roundhouse Guesthouse

Debbie & Lee were wonderful, friendly hosts. Their two dogs, Bailey & Tia were also very friendly. The roundhouse was wonderful, and included everything you needed. The bed is super comfortable! With only two couples at a time, it is quite peaceful which is especially nice by the pool! The breakfast was lovely with a good selection. It is about a 10 minute walk to the main street in Franschhoek which has a fantastic range of restaurants, shops and coffee stops. Highly recommend a stay here.

Breakfast was excellent with hot and cold options : fruit cup, yogurt, cereal, toast,juice, coffee, eggs any way, eggs Benedict, smoked salmon, bacon. Location was within walking distance to town and restaurants, in a quiet area with lush gardens and amazing birds! On site relaxing pool area. Room had unique round configuration with a thatched roof and was very clean. Host, Lee , and hostess, Debbie were very nice and hospitable and very willing to help with recommendations and reservations . Bed was very comfortable. The guesthouse had only 2 cottages so it was very quiet.

Lack of availability for future bookings!!

We had a fantastic stay at the Round House thanks to Debbie and Lee . The rooms and bathroom are spotlessly clean with a a large Super King Size bed. The Round House is located 5 minutes walk from Franshoek main Street and 15 minutes walk to the wine train terminal. Breakfast by the pool was excellent especially Lee's Egg beneficts. Breakfast was absolutely perfect . Plenty of choice .jennie and Lee were perfect hosts . Will definitely return in the future .

Breakfast superb. Owner is a lovely lady.

The breakfast ended at 9.00am which is much too early when you are on holiday. The check out at 10 is also dreadful. I’d suggest breakfast til 10 and check out at noon. Only two rooms to be changed over so not permitting an early check out not good. If those protocols don’t change I’ll never be back. That’s a shame because every thing else perfect

Loved the round house style.. Extremely comfortable bed, nicely decorated room which was cleaned every day. Debbie was very helpful ,we had an early check in and she gave us advice about wineries to visit.It also happened to be Open Gardens weekend which Debbie told us about and were a fantastic experience.

Steep walk from the town in the heat but only 10 minutes or so.
