The build of the place.

Broken bathroom window handles. Broken bathroom door handles. Main switch for the plugs is deliberately switched off at night, meaning you can’t charge your phone or use anything that will require electricity. I stepped in a pool of water in the morning because the bar-fridge had defrosted over night as a result.
