Sony Home Stay

The rooftop views were beautiful. We had our own balcony that looked over to the beach. It was quiet and so nice to hear the waves. Very convenient location.

Location close to beach

Very tired and basic rooms that could really do with a make over, fine if on a tight budget. Window in bathroom is just a hole in the wall and no way to lock windows. Roof top not like the pictures and the view is a building site. Fine for backpackers on a budget.

Very welcoming family and great location

It was in a great location. We had access to the beach, restaurants, stores, everything we needed within a 5-10 minute walk. The roof granted a perfect sunset view as the sun sank behind the volcano. The air conditioning was a godsend in the heat. Sony even drove us to some locations we came to see!

Maybe the best Place to stay in Bali. The owner is another Level friendly and very helpful. If you need anything he will care about you. The Room we had was basic, but clean and a very nice view to the ocean with a private Terrace. The Bed was big and comfortable. The Breakfast was handmade, good and you get it on the roof of the house with a very nice view. For us it was the best Home Stay on whole Bali. I can highly recommend that place.

- good location - nice balcony overlooking the ocean - rooftop is beautiful in the early mornings and evenings - good price - vegan banana pancakes for breakfast on the rooftop - water bottle refill (lukewarm though)

- no cleaning or fresh towels in 5 nights - walls covered in mould - a/c wasn’t ice cold - cold shower (it was ok during the hot days, but would appreciate a warm shower) - scooter, mask, etc was more expensive than in other places. You would expect the opposite if you’re staying with them.

The very best about this homestay is Sony. From the beginning he was such a great host. He is friendly, helpful and took his time to show me beautiful snorkeling spots around Amed and invited me to a ceremony at his temple for full moon. I won’t forget that. My room had a very nice terrace. The bed was comfortable. Overall I had a great time there. Thank you Sony! All the best!

Nothing to compare about

Nice and comfy place to stay. It's close to the beach and snorkel spots all around. Very kind and welcoming owners 😀 Breakfast is available and many diving schools around.

Sony and his all family was a super host. He took us Lempuyang Temple at early morning. We tried fresh jackfruit and durian fruit. He took us for sunrise boat trip. His son, Komang is a dive master and I did dive with that was amazing. Sony's wife was nice to have a breakfast for us. The location is amazing by the sea and we could swim every day, with nice local restaurants around. Was a great experience to stay in Sony's place.
