Saddle Cottage

Super schöne Unterkunft in Ella mit tollen Gastgebern. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und möchten uns hiermit nochmal für die drei Tage bedanken! In das Zentrum ist man in 10 Minuten zu Fuß.

Coin de paradis à Ella ! Logement très propre et agréable, avec une super vue sur les montagnes ! Petit déjeuner délicieux avec les spécialités de la maison et par dessus tout le gérant est des plus agréables et gentil, il a pris le temps de nous aiguiller dans nos recherches d’activités et m’a même aidé à réparer mes tongs ! Un grand merci, si vous cherchiez un hébergement à Ella n’hésitez plus allez à Saddle Cottage !

Nedá se přijet až k domu, nutno snést zavazadla po schodech ve svahu pod tratí vlaku.

It was awesome experience. Accomodation is ran by a family, they are very kind and helpful, you can definitely feel Sri Lankan hospitality spirit here! Owner showed us a hand-written book about Sri Lanka and places to see here - created by his daughter. Beautiful view from a balcony, you can see and hear a distant waterfall. Entire please is really clean and aesthetic - in the same time there is cottage/boho vibe. Breakfast was also awesome. The place was a bit hard to find. From road you need to cross rails, then go straight until you see Saddle cottage sign, then go down the stairs.

The view was stunning! Very nice to have a delicious breakfast and see the waterfall from the balcony. The place is unique because you have to walk over the train track for max. 10 minutes from the city, what is a fun experience. The family is super friendly and helpful! There is an amazing restaurant named Garden View close to the house, i think max 700 meters. Recommend to stay here with this family and enjoy the amazing view.

It is a bit humid inside the room but that is more than understandable if you see where you’re at. And rain season was about to start as well.

Beautiful view, amazing bird life from the deck, and lovely family serving a delicious breakfast. Rooms were very comfortable. Air con not required. So fun to have to walk the train line to get to the property!

The location of the cottage is absolutely stunning. The view from the balcony made us feel like we were in heaven… We were warmly welcomed by the Family, the Host gave us some tips where to go and how to spend time in Ella. Rooms very comfortable and clan. Also very good breakfast. Thank you !
