Very easy 10/10 I really enjoyed my stay. I had the best time in Lamo and big part of it was because of where I stayed. Mohamed was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable about the island. Lori made delicious food and was very flexible. Enjoyed the company of everyone and the island so much. Thank you team for making my time amazing ❤️

Par où commencer ? C’est de loin la maison d’hôte la plus charmante et accueillante que j’ai visité. 3 nuits, avec le sentiment d’être dans ma maison de famille, les propriétaires et le personnel sont adorables, au petit soin, se plient en quatre pour vous aider et vois conseiller. La maison a plusieurs espaces communs magnifiquement décorés, meubles patinés, sculptures ancienne, fleurs de partout.. tout comme la chambre fabuleuse. le petit déjeuner est complet et tout naturel et fait minute. Ça a été le meilleur moment de mon séjour au Kenya !

Il faut tout de même être préparé aux toilettes sèches (qui ne sont pas si gênantes que ça) et les chambres n’ont pas la clim (mais on s’y fait aussi). Comme signalé dans le livret d’accueil, Lamu est isolée et tout n’est pas disponible à la seconde : anticipez médicaments, snacks, batterie externe … et ralentissez, ça fait du bien au final.

Gorgeous property, incredibly welcoming staff, perfect location to see Lamu town. Delicious food. We felt like we were the guests at an ambassador's residence.Truly wonderful and very special hotel - one of a kind - for those wanting to see Lamu town, rather than the beach side (which is still visitable from here).

Not a negative as we loved our stay and would 100% come back for the authenticity and charm. Just be aware that because of the property's rich history, everything is true to historical accuracy and restoration. Therefore, there is no aircon or sound insulation and you can hear the call to prayer loudly at 4/5 am each morning. We were also absolutely boiling hot at night because of the lack of aircon - but this will depend on the time of year you go. We visited in March.
