perfectly clean large property warm and cosy too great bed lots of extras hosts amazing so much helpful knowledge given breakfasts to die for close to so many places to visit fab transport links

"One of the loveliest's B and B's we have ever stayed in. Wish they were all like this."

Linda and Jonathon were sublime hosts, as was Penny, their dog. Andrew and I could not fault their hospitality or home in anyway. Vast knowledge about the their surroundings, York and beyond. I cannot recommend Grove House or their hosts more. From the bed, to the shower to the beautiful breakfast. Our stay was just wonderful.

There is nothing we didn't like about our hosts Linda, Jonathon or Penny who what they provided for us at Grove House

"Brilliant short break"

Warm welcome with tea and cake. Friendly hosts, adorable dog. Well cooked and generous breakfast. Clean and comfortable room with many little extras.

Nothing...would liked to have stayed longer.

"Exceptional hosts and accommodation"

Wonderful bed and breakfast with marvellous, diligent hosts in Linda and Jonathon. Walk to dining at local pub, walk to train station for York access and ring road access to explore Yorkshire by car. Breakfast spot on and great bed with ensuite including bath. Simply, highly recommend.

Couldnt fault.

"Amazing place, best breakfast I've had."

Everything. We were stuck without a taxi due to busy times and Jonathan offered us a lift to the wedding that we would've been late for. The breakfast is amazing with the home made sausages and actual bacon sourced locally. Also we made a new mate for life with Penny (the dog). Thank you for everything and making our stay special.

Not enough time spent at their beautiful house with Penny.

Linda and Jonathan were extremely efficient, welcoming and helpful. The cleanliness of the accommodation could not be bettered and the breakfast was substantial and varied with home made bread and jams and sausages. We would love to return for another stay.

"Lovely stay with fantastic hosts"

Atmosphere and food (some of which was homemade) were excellent and the hosts were helpful and friendly and went above and beyond what was expected to make our stay as comfortable and relaxed as possible.
