Amazing, welcoming, friendly, attentive hosts who can't do enough for you. Spotlessly clean rooms with lots of thoughtful little touches, very comfortable beds & a beautiful garden to sit in. The breakfast was lovely with lots of choice, good quality ingredients and Jonathan's homemade sausages and Linda's homemade bread and preserves.

Can't think of a single thing.

The location was perfect - a quick walk and 6 minute train ride to York and easy getaway to the Yorkshire Dales. Jonathan and Linda made everything easy, advised on our travels and provided passes to the minster which we would not have otherwise seen. Linda made provisions for a gluten free breakfast - key! It was a lovely stay.

Everything from the moment we arrived was excellent. Our hosts Jonathan & Linda went above & beyond to make our stay memorable. Would highly recommend them to anyone staying at York

Such a personal welcome from Linda and Jonathan. We loved their comfy room, beautiful garden, and excellent breakfast. The train into York is easy and efficient.

Everything from the surroundings to the hospitality and comfort not to mention the out of the way conveniences and help offered by the hosts. The property has a very good ambience and a garden which gave comforts of staying at home. The owners of the property Linda and Jonathan were extremely friendly and made us feel at home the moment we checked in to the property. It's about 15- 20-minute drive from the railway station. The room was spotless with great decor and crisp bed sheets. The breakfast was delicious and provided with personalized attention by Linda and Jonathan. My wife needed medical help and fetching prescription/medicine from a nearby locality difficult to walk up to. The hosts promptly offered us their help and insisted on taking us in their car. They also rendered valuable guidance on the city including printed details with handwritten explanations which made our life much simpler. Not to mention the super friendly dog Ms Penny. The locality has both train and bus connections from York city stops for which are at walking distance from the property. Overalll, we had a wonderful stay in this lovely property.

Everything was so good that it's difficult to say if I did not like anything, however, for the sake of describing it I would say that since rooms are on the first floor, you may not like the effort needed to lug your luggage. My room was a bit small compared to other rooms there so yes it was a bit cramped up with two suitcases, but not to the point of complaint at all.
