Albert Guest - Galle Fort

The location is right in the heart of the Galle old Dutch fort very close to the lighthouse and wall sunset views. Breakfast is good, typical Sri Lankan style. Family run by mother and daughter, very unobtrusive but friendly and helpful.

Air con was impossible to control and very loud. I woke every couple of hours to turn it off and then back on as Galle is very hot. It’s an old house but has character and perfect for a couple of nights if you want to save a few rupees.

Everything was fine.

It was a great privilege to stay in this beautiful old house. The room was beautiful, the mosquito nets were weighted, so this was the first night of our holiday we didn't get bitten. There were many beautiful pieces of antique furniture around the house all obviously very well loved, and our bathroom was very posh, the best of our time in Sri Lanka. The situation was perfect. We sat on the balcony overlooking a quiet street and watched the local children play and the adults go about their lives. We were very sad that our timetable did not allow us to stay longer. We would like especially to thank the family for the tasty breakfast they packed for us to take on our early train. We would highly recommend Albert Guest accommodation Thank you

Perfectly located in the centre of Galle within pleasant walking distance to restaurants and shops. The room was clean and spacious and was so the bathroom (good warm water) the fan and ac worked well in the room Nice first breakfast in Sri Lanka Sweet family owning it

Great location, 4 min to the lighthouse in Galle, nice galleries and restaurants in old town. Warmhearted family hosts caring and sharing, nice breakfast. Authentic old town house, rooms are well maintained, good furniture, very clean and modern bathroom. Great balcony and little lounge to hang out on the first floor. Enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back, THANK YOU!

We loved our stay at Albert Guest. The lady and her daughter who run it are so warm and kind. They made us delicious breakfasts both mornings and allowed us to do our laundry for a small charge. This was greatly appreciated. The room was large and comfortable with a great bathroom and a balcony which we enjoyed. The location could not be better as it is 2 minutes to the lighthouse, beach and to walk the ramparts. We had a fabulous time in Galle and will recommend it to anyone. We thoroughly enjoyed eating at Pedlar’s Inn restaurant as well. Thank you

Room was spacious and clean! And the hosts were lovely. Great location - very close to all the shops in Galle Fort - about a 2 minute walk. Very nice budget Home-Stay style place :)

We had a lovely experience at Galle Fort and we could have definitely stayed longer than one night. The location of the homestay, in the middle of the old Fort is absolutely perfect. Walking distance from everything (also bus and train station). The bed was comfortable and the room had everything you need, plus a gigantic bathroom. All very clean. The breakfast was very good, with a lot of variety. Considering the price, this is probably one of the best value for money I've ever had :)
