Wimala B&B

The place was spotless and very clean. Breakfasts were generous and varied - often more than we could eat - and the owner kept offering more. The host, a lovely elderly lady, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable in every way. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, surf schools, the train station, and an ATM. Plus, there’s an adorable cat that often kept us company, which added a special charm.

One thing to note is the lack of hot water, which is common in guesthouses in Sri Lanka. It didn’t bother us, but it might be a consideration for some.

Wimala is very warm and welcoming. She let us pick our room, which was very nice. By foot it takes you about 10 Minutes to get to the beach and the train station as well as Restaurants and a Supermarket are around the corner.

Maybe the ventilator case could be cleaner, but that is pretty much looking for faults, since the overall experience is very nice.

The house is located in a quiet and green area, really close to the beach. Lady Wimala is a delight warmly welcoming her guests and she tries to make your stay at her place unforgettable. The breakfast was so tasty and abundant that we had to skip the lunch. Simply amazing.

Mrs. Wimala is the most amazing woman. She worked tirelessly to be as accommodating as possible. The perfect hostess.

I liked the family who owned the place. Especially the elderly lady she was lovely. She might kill you with the amount of food she will try and give you for breakfast!!! Mosquito nets on the beds, great shower, a short walk from the beach and restaurants.

The beds weren't the comfiest.

You get what you expect for such a great place but mostly it was like coming home to my Sri Lankan Grandmother. Wimala is a delight, she will go the extra mile with everything to make a happy stay. It truly was like coming home to family and her cooking is amazing

The house is located in a very green and quiet area, very close to the beach. The room we had was very clean and our host was lovely. This was one of the best places we stayed in our three weeks in Sri Lanka.
