We loved our stay here, it was honestly such a unique experience to sleep so immersed in nature, with all the noises of the jungle at night. The structure is sooo pretty, really magical. Also it had everything you can possibly need.

If you don’t like bugs that’s not the place for you haha

The guest house is in the middle of a lush oasis. It was stunning beyond anything we could have imagined. The staff were wonderful and made us feel instantly comfortable and right at home. Splendid!

I didn't like that we had to go home and couldn't stay longer

I opted for the breakfast which was made by Stephen every morning. Wonderful and a great way to start the day. Stephen also turned out to an amazing tour guide as well. He took me to a secluded arch on the coast and some amazing waterfalls which had nobody else there. It was like having your own private paradise, Certainly the highlight of the trip. I also enlisted Stephen for a massage which was worth every penny. All in all, it was my best stay in Hawaii ever. This is NOT a fancy resort. It's off the beaten track literally near the end of the road. Relaxing, beautiful, and secluded with an attentive staff and lovely guests from all over the world and walks of life.

The bed was a bit too soft for me, but that's just a personal preference.

The property is absolutely wonderful. Nice, natural landscaping that let's you feel immersed in the Hawaiian rainforest. Feels very secluded and private, while also feeling safe and welcoming. Its walking distance to a black sand, clothing optional, beach. I will definitely book here again when visiting the Big Island. I would feel safe here as a solo traveler. Stephen greeted us when we arrived to the property and was so welcoming. I immediately felt at ease in his presence. He gave us a tour and showed us to our rooms, let us know how to reach him if we needed anything. Our smoke alarm was going off one night and he came right over, checked it out and swapped the battery, fixing the problem. I traveled with a friend and we each had separate rooms. The house feels more home like, relaxing front porch, solid wood furniture, and everything you'd need. Both rooms were clean and beds comfortable. At first, I thought my bed may be too soft, but I slept SO good and woke with no pains, feeling refreshed, so it must have been just right. Bath and beach towels were in our rooms, a bathrobe, a list of hosted and local activities we may be interested in, and a little bowl of snacks too. I also appreciated they had sunscreen and bug spray available.

I booked the Garden Room and it was the most amazing room I’ve ever had! Everyone was so friendly and amazing!

Some part of the house required cleaning (windows, sofas, etc).

Stephen was great, I ordered breakfast twice. The sandwich was really good. He’s friendly, fun, easy to approach. He was the only one I met.

Not your fault, I was there alone, maybe a break during the beginning of summer? Stop at grocery store on the way, bring whatever you need or want.

The entire place has a relaxing atmosphere about it. From the time you come through the gate you feel right at home. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. They’re also very knowledgeable about the area. You can definitely be yourself while staying here. I stayed for a week and enjoyed my entire stay. Monday is the best day as they have a gay day at Kehena Beach. It’s a clothing optional beach so you can toast your buns before coming back to the property and enjoying a social pot luck gathering.
