Amazing evening meal and very beautiful breakfast

The staff service was very good and the staff were very friendly. The first night the meal was very nice and the service was excellent. The rook was very big and to be fair was very comfortable. Not a big lover of the pillows as to lumpy and soft but they were okay

There is pipped music throughout the pub which you can quite clearly and quite loudly hear in this room. The music is coming from the toilets can be heard quite loudly in the Deluxe Suite room. I had to ask for music to be stopped, which did happen after a number of requests. Also the bedroom is directly above the main front door and when someone enters or leaves the building the banging reverberates through the bedroom and it is very annoying. The end of the bedroom is also above the toilets and you can quite clearly here the hand dryer being used in the bedroom. Also there were parts of biscuits around the seating area in the bedroom. Might need a new hoover. Also the shower leaks and there is water over the floor when exiting the shower cubicle. We enjoyed the pub and the staff service but we would not stay here again because of these issues. We dined the two nights of our stay at the restaurant. The first night I had the Porterhouse Steak and my wife had the rump. Both medium rare and we had the garlic mushrooms and chips. The meal was absolutely lovely. The steak cooked to perfection and the garlic mushrooms were some of the best I have tasted. The second night I had the Sirloin steak and asked for it to be cooked the same (medium rare) and my wife had the rump again. We both ordered the garlic mushrooms again and the chips. The steak that was served was charcoaled and a little over cooked for my liking. My wife did not enjoy the charcoaling and she did tell the waitress this when she asked to see if everything was oaky. The garlic mushrooms were congealed and very think and the chips were little crispy bits which looked like the ones you get at the end of a pan. Did not taste good at all and was very disappointed with the meal. No recompense was offered just an apology and "it must be different chiefs". Very overpriced for the meal we received. This is not a cheap restaurant and I expected better regarding the meals.
