The Old School B&B

There was a good choice for breakfast. I was very tempted by a cooked breakfast but settled on porridge and toast. It was delicious.

No fault on anyone's part but, as my bed was under a sloping roof, I couldn't sit up in bed.

Entrap to where I wanted to be. Clean, tidy and friendly. Great breakfast.

Always friendly and accommodating especially my very late arrivals. Comfortable and a relief to arrive after a long drive.

We were made to feel very welcome. The host was friendly and cooked a great breakfast, and the beds were comfortable.

The Old School was cosy on a very windy night. I was made very welcome on arrival and had a basic but comfortable room. The breakfast was excellent, as was the service. Overall, it is homely and friendly. Thank you.

There wasn't a hair dryer in the room, but given the service, I'm sure one would have been available if I'd asked! The bathroom could benefit from a refresh, and although clean and fresh, the bed linen showed it's age. However this wouldn't stop me staying again.

It's always a pleasure to stay at The Old School in Tebay - they are so incredibly helpful and welcoming! They provided a lovely vegan breakfast each day I was there too. Very convenient to reach by car just off the M6 and handy for training courses at Lyon Work and Rescue nearby.

I didn't see the owners because I arrived late due to traffic, they were very kind about me arriving late, the room was nice and comfy and the shower was hot and strong!

Very convenient for our trip south. Lovely owners and no extra charge for dogs, which was very welcome. Great breakfast. Local pub convenient for an evening meal and also very friendly staff. We will visit again 😊

Not a dislike but a heads up really….parking can be challenging with a larger vehicle so suggest mentioning that when booking, as the owners can advise. That said we were able to park, despite arriving late.
