Cascina Canée

This boutique hotel is quite unique and one of the best accommodations we have ever experienced. The house is somewhat secluded and hidden, but once you get there, all the facilities and services are absolutely fantastic. The room we were in was large, 40 m2 with a terrace and a view over the valley and down to the lake. The bathroom was elegant with a large bathtub and good facilities. The house is very beautiful and well renovated and has only rooms for 4 couples. The couple Fabío and Chiovanna who own and run the place are truly exceptional hosts, they prepare breakfast themselves from ingredients from the region and we chose to have dinner on site prepared by the hosts the 2 nights we stayed there which we can definitely recommend.

The only downside we can mention is that it was a bit bright in the room in the morning as there are no actual curtains for the windows. A problem easily solved by a sleeping mask ;)

Wow what a perfect way to spend our last night in Italy. This is a beautiful property and Giovanna & Fabio are the most perfect hosts. We loved everything about this place and wished we could of stayed longer. We had the 3 course dinner which was delicious as was the breakfast the following morning.

We were very nicely welcomed by Giovanna and Fabio who made us feel at home. The building has been very well restored and furnished, giving a very good blend between the original old building and modern additions. A super view. Despite arriving too late for the dinner Fabio prepared us a delicious pasta dish. The breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit, homemade cake and more.

fabio and giovanna are outstanding hosts. for us they have been the most friendly hosts in quite a while. everything is very familiar, the landlords live on site and serve homemade breakfast and dinner - with exceptional quality and dedication that is second to none.

there is not much life in angera, but we were there for too short a time to be able to judge that well - if you are looking for that, you probably won't be happy here (in the village itself).

The property and hospitality were exceptional. I hope to return - eating dinner (excellent) outside overlooking east he lake and castle was a gift.

There was a variety of possibilites for breakfast, starting with a lovely bowl of a variety of fruits. The location is nestled in Algera, a pretty village by Lago Maggiore. The owners Cicci and Fabio make you feel very welcome and provide a lovely home away from home.

Cascina Canée is a place where you immediately feel at home. Cicci and Fabio are incredibly warm and welcoming. They simply are a great team. Grazie per tutti also for the delicious food that Fabio prepares so passionately.
