Matilde B&B - La Paz, Carmen

We booked the accommodation to see the sunrise at the Chocolate Hils! These are only about 2.5 km away. There are scooters to hire or you can walk for about 30 minutes! At check in the lady was very friendly and took time for us! Breakfast you will order directly on arrival but is freshly prepared in the morning! Very tasty, the best hotel breakfast in the Philippines! The room was ok for one night! Large with two beds

Located on the street, street noise was audible! Lots of mosquitoes, but there is a spray for that!

Staff where very freindly and helpfull, room was excellent considering the price, location was good as its central to bohol,and allows you to explore the island,

sat nave made it difficult to find, HOWEVER its on the main road south or Carmen and you cant miss it, sat nav isnt great in this area so just head out of Carmen on the main raod heading towards Jagan SOuth and youll see it on the right big sign

Staff were so friendly and helpful. They wanted you to have a great stay. Food was fresh, cheap and delicious. Loved the veggie dishes and cocoa porridge. Scooter rental was handy.

Next to a busy road so not peaceful. Toiletries very limited and basic, you really needed to provide you own.

The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The room was very clean and cozy.. The service was amazing, along with the food! I will definitely come back.

Just have to set the ac in the correct mode because there is a timer. :)

It is quite outside of any village and right on the main road just after the official Chocolate Hills viewpoint and before Carmen, so we were a bit sceptical first when we arrived and realized, but it all turned out to be a very-very nice experience during our 3 nights stay! Thank you for all the staff members, who did everything for us to feel welcome, the breakfast was freshly prepared and great every day, outside right in front of our room. On the first night after it turned out there's really nothing nearby, the security guy took me to the next shop with his scooter and saved us (They also serve dinner but the time we figured out it was too late already for that night). Rented our own scooter right from them the next day :) Our room upstairs way just perfect for us, even though the B&B is on the busy main road, traffic almost stopped at the time we went to sleep. Can really recommend even if staying for shorter, you can catch the sunrise at Chocolate Hills within 10 minutes..
