This was far and away the best place we stayed during our hike on Hadrian's Wall Path. The location is perfect, right on the Path. Dacre House is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The owners are very welcoming and want to make sure their guests have everything they need. I was very impressed and grateful that they took the time to make sure I had delicious food that fit my dietary restrictions. Dinner, breakfast and our packed lunches were fantastic!

Very well decorated and,clean. Beds were so comfortable. Such a lovely place to stay and you were made very welcome.

Couldn't fault anything.

The location was superb, being very close to the national trail that we were walking. Breakfast was superb and so was the evening meal that the owner provided at very reasonable extra cost. This is by far the nicest B&B we have ever stayed in and was much better than the (more expensive) hotels we stayed in on the trail that week. The building was very recently renovated to a really high standard and in excellent taste.

The Dacre House is the absolute BEST placed we stayed along the Hadrians Wall hike!!! 10 stars!!! Lovely hosts, delicious food, beautiful rooms!!! Do not hesitate to stay here, it’s a treat!!!

Lovely bnb with lots of space and great style throughout. Thoughtful and communicative host that made us feel very welcome. Very comfortable room with great facilities.

Stylish, super clean, spacious rooms, quiet, comfy huge bed, great breakfast and dinner with plenty of drink choice. Anything I wanted was there and the owners are welcoming and have done a fabulous conversion of this amazing house it’s like a luxury hotel.

The packed lunch was a tad over priced for what it was.
