Peaceful and beautiful location - quintessential CHB.

A fridge and coffee making facilities in the room itself and an ensuite would have been nice, but facilities were adjacent and the house was lovely.

The house was beautiful and historic. Fascinating inside and out. The views and animals were incredible.

Walking down the hallway up and down short stairwells to get to the water closet was inconvenient.

A beautiful historical homestead, full of history and beautiful furniture. John and Guiseppe are great hosts. Room was comfortable with separate private bathroom. Lovely cooked breakfast. Location neatr to main highway makes it ideal stopover after a long drive.

Review We had such a wonderful stay at Ashcott Homestead. The house itself is absolutely beautiful - elegant, full of character, and steeped in amazing history. Our room was spacious with a super comfy bed that made it hard to leave in the morning! The farm surroundings are stunning and peaceful, and we loved waking up to the sound of birds and the sight of rolling green paddocks. The friendly dogs were an added treat, so sweet and welcoming. Our hosts were absolutely amazing - warm, generous, and full of great stories about the history of the house. Breakfast was delicious, fresh, and nicely presented. It felt like a real country escape, but with all the comforts of home. We’d love to come back and stay longer next time. Highly recommended!

What a great history filled place! Grand old historical homestead about 15 kms from Waipukurau. Quite a special place. Excellent breakfast in sun-filled room.

The location means that it is best to eat out for dinner before booking in - 15 minutes from local bars and restaurants.
