The Kings Head Inn

Micky was so friendly & helpful, great room at a very reasonable price.

We were breaking our journey to Cornwall. The King’s Head was ideally placed, not too close to the M5 so the room was nice and quiet. We managed to fit in a visit to Gloucester Docks and Gloucester Quays. Very convenient. On arrival we were escorted to our room with a huge double bed. The room overlooked a pony in a field and also had a patio area with chairs. That was unexpected but lovely for sitting having a morning cup of tea.

All in all it was a very good stop and suited our needs. We didn’t get to use the play equipment but we did enjoy a two course meal in the pub.

There were stains on the sheets. These should have been thrown away and not used again. Therefore I would not stay again. Also you are not advised of the times they stop cooking before you arrive. We were lucky and got there in time to have an evening meal, but only just. Food was plentiful - good portions.

Alles perfekt. Riesengroßer Balkon mit Kunstrasen, perfekt um den Abend ausklingen zu lassen. Gut ausgestattete Bar und sehr freundliches Personal.

If you're looking for a friendly welcome you'll enjoy The King's Head. From the moment we stepped in we were greeted as though we were valued regulars. This is not a showy place so if you're looking for 5 star comfort look elsewhere. But if you want vfm without frills this will not disappoint. It was en route for us. Easy parking. Had a good evening meal. Nice selection of ales. Room wasn't big but it was well equipped and clean with a homely feel to it. Breakfast was made fresh to order and was great value at £10pp. Nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend and would definitely stop again.

It could do with a facelift but it was still pleasant.

The staff were incredible. Couldn’t have possibly done more for us.

Plenty of parking. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent. Very quiet despite being on a main road.

Room was a little run down though clean. Dinner wasn't great. Surprising as breakfast was very good. Shower curtain which I know shouldn't be a biggie but I hate them.
