The Coast Yard welcomes dogs in our garden rooms (Nos. 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10) only. There is a limit of two dogs per room. On arrival, there will be a charge of £15. per dog.This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties. Payment before arrival by bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions. A deposit may be required at the property.

J'ai pu prendre la chambre bcp plus tôt. Parking gratuit et j'ai même pu en profiter jusqu'à midi avec l'approbation du propriétaire. Petit déjeuner au top et très varié, Yaourts, céréales, pancakes à la demande Les bords de mer sont a 20mm a pieds. Un pub " the seal" très bonne table, pratiquement du gastronomique..

The venue was spotless and provided everything needed for a great stay. The incredible breakfast was included and made it great value. We met the host who was very welcoming. We will come back.

Only criticism was the size of the bathroom. I kept banging my head on the shelf above the sink as the sink was so small. But still great value so no complaints.

"Discriminatory and unfair treatment to pregnant woman and toddler"

Absolutely nothing!

Everything . Poor customer service and. Lack of refund for no services rendered. Discriminatory behaviour and unfair treatment towards a vulnerable pregnant woman and child during a late-night arrival. I am extremely displeased with how customer service handled my refund request, despite my family being turned away from our room reservation at The Coast Yard B & B and Garden Chalets on 24 May 2026. The location is St Andrew’s Lodge, Chichester Road, Selsey PO20 0LX, England, United Kingdom. The owner-manager was extremely unprofessional, insensitive, racist, and unfair towards us. Although the guest house manager refused to accept our 3-year-old toddler into the room because he was not listed on the reservation, we apologised for the oversight. We offered to pay any additional charge so we could stay overnight, as it was already 11pm and a cold, windy, & slightly rainy night. We had previously appealed that the baby christening ceremony be delayed and that we would arrive at night. All our pleas were ignored by the Coast Yard manager, despite me being visibly pregnant and stressed at that hour. Sadly, we were turned away because he claimed he had to comply with fire regulations and that the guest house was at full capacity for the night. He promised to refund us the following day, so we did not argue, but we then had to drive around looking for the nearest available hotel around 1am. We even had to make calls to friends in distant locations outside the area because we did not live there and it was so late at night. It has now been three weeks, and we are still following up with Booking.com to process our refund, as no service was rendered. The Coast Yard manager has declined to refund our fee as a vulnerable consumer under the UK Consumer Protection Act, and considering that this behaviour by a white male owner/manager of the guest house was discriminatory towards a young black family with a small child late at night.
