LE JARDIN DES GRENADIERS

Somewhere midway between Marrakech and Merzouga, in the middle of an oasis, LE JARDIN DES GRENADIERS is a comfortable place to stay and relax. It's an authentic mud house, in an old authentic mud village, with a lovely garden. Here among the greenery and silence, you are in paradise! In the morning, only the song of the birds wakes you up! Wonderful and hearty dinner and breakfast! The host is very kind and polite and extremely friendly! Splendid place, a true paradise, highly recommended!

Abdou was an incredibly gracious host. Staying was a lovely experience and we would happily stay again. We drank tea, had lovely conversations and adored his garden!! Home stays such as this are one of the things that make Morocco special!!

Very hard to find. I got lost with the car within the palmeral and got my car stucked because of the bad road. Locals helped me find the hotel. Big thanks to them 🙏

If you are looking for an authentic stay where you can feel at home and learn much about the Marocain culture, in a haven of peace away from the harassement of tourism, this is your place!

A very nice and welcoming host and an amazing Garden made our stay unforgettable.

Abdou is really nice ! Taking good care of us, showing us around in the palmeraie and calling us in advance to make sure everything was ok. - We had to move our stay 2 days later because we couldn't arrive with the snow and he accepted without a problem. - We had a lot of blankets to keep us warm at night - The place and neighbourhood are really quiet and beautiful - Good local food prepared by Abdou : breakfast and evening : soup, tagine and fruits.

Showers are in another room outside but clean - We got a little bit surprised by the end price. On booking.com, we had to pay 200 dirhams for one night and breakfast for 2 people. Because we ate there when we arrived at night (he didn't want to tell us the price beforehand), he asked for the "demi-pension" price : 220 dirhams per person, which was more than the double. It was a really good and complete meal, probably worth the price, but as broke travellers, we hadn't anticipated it.

Simple, clean, quiet, uthentic, architecture with peaceful and relaxing olive garden in the heart of Skoura oasis. Close to the river far from any urban stress. The ovner Abdul is an amazing person and lots of bird species visit his garden. Birdwatching place.

Name from booking.com is not visible on google maps. People will love to see the name of the place on the maps when they look for it.

Amazing experience, Abdul (the host) is a wonderful man and host, he is the kindest person that we have met in Morocco. Would definitely stay there again. Expect really authentic experience.
