clean, comfortable accommodation. breakfast was lovely. staff very friendly.

Traditional pub in countryside location with wide views ....within 7 minutes drive to Whitby Abbey Well decorated room with enormous bath. Very generous and enjoyable evening meal.....

Only started serving breakfast at 9am.

Lovely staff. Great place for a weekend.

Missed breakfast on both days as it is only served 9-10 and we were up & out way before this time.

Bar staff were excellent.

Sink plug in room #1 ensuite kept sticking and could not be raised.

A little bit remote if we had been using public transport as the bus stop is way down the main road at the retail park and then you’d have to walk down a lane to get back to the pub The last bus out of Whitby to get back is before 10pm mon to sat and before 7pm Sunday Breakfast served on cold plates so I myself left more than I ate the 3 mornings we were there Pricey menu so only ate evening meal there once More attention to detail needed both for the room and the dining experience if they want people to return

Bed wasn’t as comfortable as I’d like and the plug didn’t fit the bath tub

The Windmill Inn is an absolutely idyllic little place to stay, and it was the perfect base to explore North Yorkshire! The breakfast was absolutely top-notch (something we always look for when staying somewhere!), the room was cosy, clean and comfortable, and the staff were most welcoming and really lovely! The pub downstairs has an excellent range of beers on offer, and clearly a favourite with locals and travellers alike! There are some picnic benches you can sit out on just a hop across the road on the grass verge, which on a clear day offer some beautiful views of the coast and Whitby Abbey! All in all, a really lovely little place to stay!
