"A lovely, relaxing stay. Would recommend."

The house was attractive. The room and bathroom were spacious, very comfortable and private. The host was friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good quality. The house had the added bonus of having a stunning garden, which you were allowed to roam around. The garden had plenty of seating and added to the experience of the stay. The local area is beautiful with plenty to see.

"3 nights in Peak District"

The Cascades is in a quiet area only 5-10 minutes drive from Matlock Bath promenade. Room was a spacious double with chairs set in a large bright bay window, bathroom was spacious with good toiletries and breakfast was tasty with good produce. Alan was a really pleasant, genial host.

Locality seems run down, amenities i.e. pubs, shops, businesses closed all over. Booked the luxury suite when in fact it's a comfortable large king room with pleasant seating in a large bay window. Lovely big old house and large gardens, but maybe a little tired when you are booking it described as 'luxury'. Not sure communal eating around a large table and sharing coffee pots etc is for us, but only one other couple were booked in and we got on great, so no problem, but it could be ?

The accomodation is in a serene place..calm.and refreshing. The facilities are clean and feels like home. The owners are brilliant..lovely family very accommodating and warm.

Beautiful setting and very comfortable room with everything you need. The gardens were nothing less than stunning.

The only small thing I would say is that there wasn’t enough hot water to use the spa bath.
