Bed and Breakfast Papillon

Very beautiful, stylish with the great attention to the details to the design and amenities

Loved the old charm of the B&B. It had more character than any place we have ever stayed. The owners were so kind and helpful, and went out of their way for us. Breakfast was elegant and delicious, especially the pan fried bacon wrapped Brie.

Absolutly dreaming accomodation. Recomended for honeymoon. The peace of the place is slightly disturbed only by the ringing of the bell on tower. Incredible breakfest. Descent to Varenna by walk is about one hour, 20 min by car. You can use free night bus on the way back (from railway station)

The view of lake Como is incredible!

Ideally you need a rental car if staying as it’s too far to walk to Varenna but the bus was easy and Julio was so kind to give us lifts too.

It’s just a different place to stay - very artistic (the owner lady is a painter and her artistic sign is everywhere in this place). The wi-fi was good. There is also piano. The view from there is really beautiful. The breakfast was really amazing!! Thank you!

The turns to the place. It’s on very high place with beautiful view to lake Como. It’s hard to find a parking spot.

All the little extra touches made it feel like home from home. Excellent breakfast. We loved it.

We couldn’t fault it. You just need to be aware that the road up the mountain is windy and it’s quite scary if you meet another vehicle on the narrow bits …. But don’t let this put you off.

The location is very nice, you have a small tour clock near and a panoramic that overlooks the lake. The room was nice, like an vintage italian place. They have a nice garden and you can eat breakfast outside.Lady of the house is preparing a nice continetal breakfast each day, very tasty . The host are very nice even if they don't speak english.

It was fine, but maybe to be cleaner, tought it is expected as the house was old.
