The fact that we couldn't run a tab for our stay. We had to carry our drinks up to the open lunge area - not much fun when your legs have gone. No bar service in the area either.

Beautiful setting by Ludford Bridge: the restaurant, light and airy, has flowers on the ceiling and a fabulous view overlooking the river. Staff were all charming, helpful and professional.

Very pleasant place to spend time. Staff helpful and friendly. Location is the single biggest positive, right by river and great outdoor views.

Having had dinner on previous visit which was excellent this meal was on the disappointing side. Starter of Pate had texture of a mousse and with no obvious flavour. The Risotto had a texture issue too and arrived lukewarm. Promptly reheated but still low on taste!

Wonderful location and excellent food served by friendly staff.

Having a room with a balcony was great and the views were wonderful. However, it is also a pub and some of the customers were somewhat raucous one evening.

Location was great , right on the river ..
