Location and friendliness of staff.

Heating not on a bit chilly in the room on arrival.

Breakfast was very good. The room we stayed in overlooked the river with a balcony. If the weather was better, we would have enjoyed sitting out on it longer. Great night sleep, very quiet.

The location and the food which was superb . The staff in the restaurant were delightful .

Our room was tiny with the smallest single beds I have ever seen. Suitable for children only. The bathroom extractor didn’t work. Only one chair to sit on. When we arrived we asked for a map of Ludlow ( the hotel in bishops castle had maps of Ludlow) but there was no information or map . The robotic like lady on reception gave no explanation or apology and no friendly advice on what to see either.

The ladies who served in the restaurant were very friendly and efficient. The public areas, bar and restaurant were very nicely decorated. Dinner was good

Our bedroom was in the roof, small and cold - the radiator wasn't working. We found the whole property to be cold, and as the weather was cold outside this badly clouded our view. The cold breakfast buffet was only tinned peach slices and prunes, a mango puree, and yoghurt. A good range of muesli/granola and toast. The cooked breakfast was good. There were no pastries etc.

It was the perfect location, fantastic food, friendly helpful staff
