Abbey and Esk Bed and Breakfast

It was interesting - very comfortable . 5 min walk from the centre with car parking. Views from our bedroom over the river leading to the harbour. Good views of the steam engine chugging past . The hosts was very knowledgable and couldn’t do enough. The breakfast was huge The bedrooms were clean and comfortable , on suite facilities.

No locks on bedroom doors . It was fine as our friends were in the other room but I’d have felt uncomfortable if strangers were in the other room

The property was far enough away from town to be quiet but close enough so that within a few minutes walk you was in the town. The view across the harbour from the room was lovely to wake up to.

The room being on the top floor, the room was very hot but there was a big fan available.

Very friendly owners, the views from the room were breathtaking, and the free parking.

Brilliant location spot on breakfast lovely meet the owner sister Jill absolutely one in a million couldn't wish for a better stay will definitely go there again love it very clean breakfast lovely what more can I say loved it

Two maney steps for us pensioners

Really nice atmosphere. A happy couple who have been there since 2000. Breakfast was lovely! Lots of choice and tea, served in china teapot 🫖 clean rooms with hairdryer, kettle etc. Plus a mini fridge with fresh water outside your room. The two little dogs they have are a cute added bonus! Extremely homley and welcoming. Location was characteristic and has its own little corners of history. We would definitely return.

There are steps leading up to this property and our bedroom was also on the top floor (4 flights) which was fine for us but if you have any breathing difficulties or a physical disability, I'd advise you check out the layout first.

Very clean and comfortable room. Lovely hosts who couldn't do enough for guests. Great location with parking at the front of the property.

Not a problem for us, but for some, walking up the stairs to the top of the house to the bedrooms could be troublesome.

Lovely warm cosy room so friendly and helpful hosts, fresh fruit and a great breakfast and great location.

Excellent location as only short walk to town. Great view from room, lovely and clean room, all facilities needed and lovely welcoming hosts. If you need to know anything about the area Ruth is very knowledgeable. Made us feel at home. Excellent breakfast set us up for the day. :-)

Just to note you must be able to climb stairs as room at the top. Luckily not a problem for us.
