Nothing I didn’t like

This was our second stay at Shareen’s, having previously visited in November 2023 (booked via Booking.com) and enjoyed it enough to return. We booked through Airbnb nearly a year in advance and received no communication about any issues. We paid the £60 balance a few weeks before arrival. After travelling over 40 hours, we were met by Shareen and told not to unload as she “had bad news.” She said she could not host us for the agreed price because she “was not a slave,” and claimed she had cancelled via Airbnb, which was untrue. She refused a bank transfer for the difference, saying Airbnb would detect it. Instead, she asked us to cancel and rebook via Booking.com at a higher rate, mentioning another potential guest. As we wouldn’t have been refunded, she contacted Airbnb to cancel and refund us. We then rebooked, paying £45 extra. Although resolved, this should never have happened. She had a year to address pricing. The stress after such a long journey was unnecessary. Sadly, we won’t return.

Location was great for my kayak activity.

My very plain 3rd floor room only had a bed and side table. No tea/coffee making facility. Separate bathroom Balcony only had an uncomfortable chair, no table. Very disappointing.

Host friendly, clean property and I liked the shoes off policy at the door - reminded me of living back in Scandinavia

Room I got had no sea view, not even a way to lock my room from the outside. Had to pack stuff in my car for the day.
