Old School Byre

The place was spotless and very comfortable. Both beds were firm and provided a great night’s sleep. The hosts thoughtfully left ingredients for breakfast - delicious bread, fresh eggs, butter, milk, plus oats, coffee, and tea. Communication was easy, clear, and straight to the point. The semi-remote location was wonderful, with small roads leading off in all directions for a walk. There’s no TV, but there is WiFi (unfortunately, he he) and a great selection of coffee table books and travel guides to enjoy.

We honestly liked everything, though an indoor mat for wet shoes would be a useful addition.

It was in a beautiful location, self contained annex so I could come and go as I wanted. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly.

Beautiful location. Great communication with owner. Very warm, cosy and comfortable. Well equipped. Maybe a little expensive for what it provided but there’s very little alternative accommodation in the area.

I loved being able to get my washing done at a reasonable rate. The hosts were very welcoming.

The kitchen could have been better,(just too small)but it would not stop me recommending anyone to stay there.

Great location, very quiet and peaceful. Some nice walks to Culkein beach and also a pebble beach. Thanks for the fresh bread, butter and eggs.

We did not realise that there was no TV (but we played one of the games in the Byre)
