Basaltic Guest House

Had a great stay, all the facilities were clean and cozy. Got to meet the hosts and they are super nice people! Great location with a lot of things to see, would definitely recommend!

The room is in a newly renovated building. It is clean, large, easily accessible. The kitchen was great to cook in. There is a very nice outdoor area with a potential for cooking and washing. The place is very close from a great restaurant.

Contrary to every where else we have stayed so far in the world when using booking.com, we didn't realize the use of towels was extra. So take that into account in the rate of your room. The cash deposit we were asked to leave when paying the room was used for that. We were told we would have a private shower; in fact we had access to a showerroom alone the first night, but other people used it the second night and hung their clothes in it. The landlord seem to believe we had a TV in our room when it was not the case. We didn't like the aggressive tone of the landlord when he was answering our questions.

The place itself was ok, a little bit noisy both from traffic on the street (especially cars picking trash in early morning) and also from people moving around in the other apartment that is above in the first floor.

Owner was a big disappointment, he kept part of our deposit with made up excuses. Looking to other reviews he has in Booking.com seems to be a common practice to him. With us it all started when we asked for pair of extra linen insisting on knowing the price beforehand. He said he didn't know and then just left it in the apartment. ONLY then told us how much he wanted. We didn't agree with the price but he refused to take it back. In civilized world a deal happens only when both involved parties now the price beforehand and agree to it. Not happening here. Only when we left his place, he told us that he wont be returning full deposit. We didn't agree and advised him we will mention this unfair behavior in our review. As a reaction he said to Booking.com that we never arrived to his place, I assume to get the booking fees back...

very clean and organized. the facilities are great and it is comfortable to cook and do laundry. the kitchen and living room is large and comfortable. the hostess is nuce and attentive

there is no air conditioning or fan in the room, so it is moisty because of the humidity. also, there is additional fees for using towels, toilet and soap.

The property is super beautiful, excellent taste, amazing space to sit outside, the kitchen is very well equipped. beautiful decoration. you can tell that the owner cares about his guests.

The place was nice and cozy, the location great and chill.

Everything was super easy (self check in) and Nelson was a great host! He always replied very quick and answered every single question we had (even about restaurants, places to go, about the island in general)

Only wifi in the kitchen Room is smelling weird
