A Meadow House

The way the host trusts her guests with her house, belongings and family mementos. Trying to guess why the host wasn't there and when she was going to appear where the other guest was. It was a bit like a cross between an escape game, a murder mystery and modern theater where the main character is talked about but never seen. Is the owner a ghost, A.I. or operating from Australia ?

The description is misleading. There is no coffee shop nor front desk 24/7. Communication is done by post-it notes, email etc or purring ( from the cat staff) . It should be clearly stated that this not your classic B&B. Yes there are a lot of snacks and huge fridge but no home made jam , fresh bread or anthing vaguely similar. Just mostly industrial food; Sorry but jelly filled croissants wrapped in plastic are not my cup of tea, so to speak. The only fruit I found was a bunch of grapes. After biting into it I found them to be plastic ! We were hesitating between a motel and your place at about the same price. We chose your place to meet the owner, have a bit of a chat, get advice on what to do etc. The typical things B&Bs all over the world offer. Having a staff made entirely of cats is certainly original but can you call that a front desk ( sorry, feline desk) ? I noticed after reviewing the comments that when the guests complain that you tell them, rather agressively, that hotels in the area are more expensive. But in fact we stayed in several hotels in New England in same price range with a human staff,buffet breakfast, freshly made pancakes, fresh fruit, historic buildings and who didn't expect us to share a bathroom. Your home is not without charm but a serious decluttering is necessary. Breakfast on a table cluttered with your meds is really not an appetizing meal. I suggest lowering your price or increasing your quality standards.

Staying at Meadow house was a unique and unforgettable experience. The owner Terry, who was extreamly friendly and welcoming has several antique stores and the house feels like one itself, full of all sorts of interesting artifacts. We were alone in the house and had it to ourselves, which was awesome. Family pictures and mementos were everywhere and made us feel like we became part of the family ourselves. The two superfiendly and well behaved cats roaming around made us feel even more at home. Everything in the house is connected with the nearby Lime Rock race track and car racing, which Terry seems to be intimately involved with. So, if you have interest in that, you're in luck there. Lastly, there were a ton of snacks of all sorts that Terry has generously provided.

As much as we liked it, staying in a place that's like an antique store might not be for everyone. Especially if you don't like cats.

Found the room cozy and it totally met our needs. Only interreacted with Terry briefly but enjoyed interacting with her.
