Pros: close to Hobbiton Movie Set, Allowed us a one hour late check out, kind host allowed us to help feed the chickens, washer and dryer

Cons: a number of crawling insects inside both dead and alive, a layer of dust on everything, very thick layer of dust on all the baseboards, headboards, and carpet against the wall

We love this barn house! We feel right at home. Love the little things that Con and Briony do - the farm fresh eggs from their chickens are the best!

The breakfast was freshly supplied eggs, fresh milk with cereals and toast the views from the front door were absolutely stunning.

It was comfy, well equipped. The owner was very friendly. The views were amazing and not far from Hobbits. Cute puppy and kitty pats was a bonus.

Perfect accommodation for families. Has everything you need for a comfortable stay. A bonus that breakfast staples are included. A little bit like a farm stay with chooks, cows and cats. Perfect location to several towns with beautiful scenery. And of course perfect location to Hobbiton. Highly recommend.

Hosts were very welcoming. Briony went to the effort of lighting the log fire on a cold and rainy night to keep us even more comfortable. Kitchen had generous breakfast provisions, including fresh eggs from their chickens. Excellent location for visiting Hobbiton.

We loved our stay at Hills Vista Lodge! The location is fantastic and Briony was a lovely, welcoming host. The beds and furnishings are super comfy and the place has everything you could need. The breafast spread was fabulous especially loved loved loved the fresh eggs! We will definitely be back to stay at this wonderful place. Thanks so much!!
