"Great base to visit Hobbiton"

Very large and spacious unit with full size kitchen, lounge room, kids toys and in unit washing machine. Nice spacious bathroom with good hot shower. 10 mins drive to town and 15 mins drive to Hobbiton

No wifi and limited 4G coverage (not the owners fault) because of Telcom NZ limited tech in that area due to the geography

Everything! The location was amazing, price felt like great value and the host is very welcoming (even to guests arriving later in the night after chaotic trips throughout the North Island!).

Nothing - the hosts communicated any potential issues with the property clearly (e.g., notifying them of water heat running low), but these had absolutely no effect on our stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great accommodation while they visit the Matamata area (and/or Hobbiton)!

The property was very clean. Heaps of beds to choose from. Great selection of dvds and toys! Gosh the toys kept my toddler busy and that was amazing as we were all tired. Amazing friendly hosts Gardens and animals were beautiful
