"Exceptional"

his place is amazing! Primot the owner is the nicest person I met in Sri Lanka. He took care of everything that we ask and was so kind. The room was big and clean, the garden is just stunning, and this family is so lovely. They cooked us the best rice and curry I've ever eaten and the Sri Lankan breakfast is also excellent, don't miss it. Ramith will give you the best tips for a fun time in Sigiriya and a feeling of home. This place is an amazing value for your money, I highly recommend Banana Rest, you won't regret it 💙

"Superb"

It was the combination of everything that made Banana Rest for me the perfect place to stay. The food is delicious, the area really peacefull and green. And then there is the nice admosphere and the hospitality you are welcomed with. Although it's only a 10 minute walk to mainroad where busses go on and off in both directions, host Ramith is happy to drop you off there with his tuctuc. Always in for a chat and happy to help you wherever it's wanted without being pushy in any kind of way. I really had a hard time leaving this place.

It would have been nice if there was a little less rain during my stay :)

Very nice quiet place in the middle of nature. We really enjoyed breakfast and dinner. Nice and friendly stuff and welcome drink ☺️ Frogs in the rooms were funny

There was problem with booking - when we get there, they didn’t expected us, so the room wasn’t ready and not shiny clean… however it was quickly solved. Thank you.

"Great food, great location , available host , nature, wildlife, quiet, peaceful"

it was a great peaceful cared for location .I Watched monkeys in the trees from the porch of the bungalow… The chicken curry for dinner was great, as was 430am breakfast. It’s convenient to get to hike either rock. I could have taken more tours. This felt like true Sri Lanka to me . The chance of a random elephant encounter was a scare -joy

The host was the most amazing person, always friendly, always funny and he took so much of his time to talk about his country. The location is essentially directly in the jungle, which gives an amazing experience.

We needed to get used to the frogs a little.
