A very nice place completely out in nature. Very peaceful and quiet and the beds were comfortable. A TukTuk ride to the Sigiriya Rock was included and the owner gave us some nice recommendations for our stay.

Nothing bad but as the hotel is located in nature we had frogs in the bathroom and in the toilet. 😊

The rest house is located in a calm and peaceful environment, away from the buzz of the town. It borders the Kimbissa wewa and offers splendid views. The rooms were spacious and has little private verandas where you can sit and relax while enjoying the view of the forest and the lake. The food here is exceptional! We wanted to try a few cafes in and around Sigiriya but ended up taking all of our meals from here because the food was delicious, healthy and simply great. The host is also very helpful. This is a great place to visit if you are looking for some peace and quiet.

Condition of the bathrooms could improve.

💚 It is surrounded by natural beauty. His place is amazing! The kindest person I encountered in Sri Lanka was Ramith. Don't skip the Sri Lankan breakfast; they prepared the greatest rice and curry I've ever had for us. This location offers incredible value for money. You won't regret choosing Banana Rest. 💚

We had the most wonderful stay at Banana Rest. It is in the most beautiful, tranquil setting and Ramith and his family were such amazing hosts. The dinner and breakfast were really delicious - the best food we have had in Sri Lanka. So many lovely flavours. We had a free tuk tuk ride to Sigirya included too. Ramith and his family were so helpful and told us lots about Sri Lanka and the beautiful place where they live. The accommodation was very comfortable with either air con or fan depending on what you prefer. We cannot recommend this place enough. It is a real haven.

The rooms are simple but comfortable. The value for money is great. Ramith was always happy to help with a smile. His mother is amazing. She was a refuge for me as I had come alone. Come to see her again.
