Lovely appartment house in the middle of the nature. It's calm, clean and beautiful! The host is extreemely helpful and friendly. His mother made us super tasty Srilankan diner. We even spend the evening together, by the bonfire having a little party. Amasing stay!

Have stayed here twice before and found that the standards were not as good as before, probably the hiatus caused by Covid is to blame.

Ramith was incredibly kind; I was fortunate to have him as my personal guide, and it was wonderful to discover a part of Sigiriya through his native perspective. The room was basic, but the place was so peaceful, with its view of nature, which was exactly what I was looking for.

This place is an amazing jungle retreat with beautiful views, quiet, and nice rooms. It is definitely perfect for someone looking to unwind and take time in nature, but Ramith is also very helpful in arranging tuktuk and helping craft itineraries if you still want to explore the area. The food here was delicious as well. I truly was so touched by what a wonderful family runs Banana Rest. The amount of love and thought that is put into everything is beyond expectations, and a great reason to stay there.

It’s in the jungle, so expect some bugs and mosquitoes. Wasn’t a problem for me (esp given the mosquito nets over each bed), just something to be aware of :)

The nature around is really nice and you can see a lot of animals.

We don‘t know how it has so good Reviews. We got a room which was really smelly then we asked the Host to get another one, we did, but it also smelled musty. I mean for the price you can‘t expect much, but a room without bad smell should be possible. And we never saw the Owner, just conversation over whats App.

· The owner – Ramith welcomed us and made our stay exceptionally wonderful. he was very caring and gave us delicious meals. he gave us instructions on how to go to hike the Pidurangala rock and Sigiriya Rock She helped us arrange transportation to Kandy and always checked up on us. The place is surrounded by nature and with amazing scenery with Wasanti’s beautiful garden. The place is clean. The room and bathroom was spacious with AC,and Wifi. During the day the , and besides we were out all day for different activities. We would love to go back again.
