Picket Post House Accommodation

Lovely property, situated in a quiet area next to canal with private parking. Very clean , breakfast was lovely and fresh, had best sleep for ages. Julie was so welcoming.

Everything met our expectations

Kitchen work unexpectedly was available and so we were moved to the cottage, which was wonderful. Clean and warm. A real bonus

Frühstück war reichlich und sehr traditionell. Mit tollem Außenbereich zum Sitzen und direkt der Parkplatz davor. Die Lage ist himmlisch und lädt zu tollen Spaziergängen ein. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Das Vermieterpaar ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

This is one of the remaining B&Bs where the proprietor takes pride in their facilities. I have stayed in a few B&Bs over the past few years, and this one shines like a splendid beacon. It is clear this is not someone wanting to make a few £, but a person who takes enormous pride in what they do. Thank you for providing such wonderful accommodation.

Loved everything. I'm just sad that there aren't more places like this where the owner cares so much about the service they provide.

Great location for midway stop to Scotland

Nothing really

The area is beautiful and peaceful. The accommodation is spacious, clean and thoughtfully laid out. The bed is very comfortable. We arrived 5.30pm and had purchased a pie for dinner. Didn't fancy going out for dinner. So we needed Julie's help to heat up the pie. Julie not only heated up the pie but the serving plates as well. On a cold night, that was super nice. It was an overnight stay but we left feeling cared for. It was raining and chilly. However Julie's place was warm and really comfortable.
