Great location for midway stop to Scotland

The area is beautiful and peaceful. The accommodation is spacious, clean and thoughtfully laid out. The bed is very comfortable. We arrived 5.30pm and had purchased a pie for dinner. Didn't fancy going out for dinner. So we needed Julie's help to heat up the pie. Julie not only heated up the pie but the serving plates as well. On a cold night, that was super nice. It was an overnight stay but we left feeling cared for. It was raining and chilly. However Julie's place was warm and really comfortable.

It was in a quiet part and relaxing. Friendly welcoming host. Lovely and clean. Good size room and bathroom with a claw foot bath (heaven to relax in) Good choice of continental breakfast with warm croissants just out the oven. Can have full breakfast for a small charge.

Beautiful house in lovely location. Julie is a great host. Enjoyed our short stay, and left very relaxed. Room was equipped really well, and felt like home. Continental breakfast was very nice too. All in all very good value.

Beautiful house in pretty location by the canal. Well appointed room and lots of attention to detail in the facilities

My only concern was that the bed was quite bouncy which was not good for someone suffering with a back problem.

The quietness and character of the place. Friendly welcoming host. Lovely big room and bed. Very clean. Car parking.

Mixed experience. In general, we re happy with our stay and the included continental breakfast (toasts, fruits, yogurt, and coffee). The surrounding area right by the river is also very beautiful. If we stay next time, it’s definitely worth renting a floor in their separate building nearby, though of course that one is much more expensive.

Awkward — this is not really a hotel, but rooms on the 2nd floor of a living house. All doors and walls are very thin, so you can literally hear all voices and TV programs from around. There is zero privacy. In October it was very cold because the owners use the radiators only very limitedly, but they did give us a portable heat pump. It was also really unpleasant to find a lot of long hair in our bed — I really doubt that sheets were changed after the previous guests.

The B&B was lovely and just what we needed for our overnight stay. Julie was lovely and made us feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend and would stay there again.
