AMOUR AT TURTLE BEACH

The owner is very nice and helpful. The room is big and comfy and terase is great.

Towel and sheets could be cleaner.

Host called me and texted me via WhatsApp after I gave a rating and asked me to increase it which is a bit of an invasion of my privacy (I didn't change it but to add some more detail to my review: The room is nice and spacious and the location is good. Breakfast was fine too. The bathroom was a bit filthy and there was a cockroach in our room. Host offered to drive us to the bus stop and then had us wait for more than 30 minutes. It's a good accommodation that I would recommend still but some things that spoiled the experience which is why I didn't give more than 7).

Our favourite property & location of our Sri Lanka tour so far. We stayed in the upstairs apartment which was very spacious with large comfortable bed, lovely high ceiling, air conditioning and large balcony area. The breakfast, served on our balcony, was a lovely touch. The beach is stunning and so quiet with little cafes with sun loungers tucked well back and dotted along it. The highlight was our evening ‘Turtle Watch’ experience on the beach…in an ethically controlled environment seeing a green turtle laying her eggs, covering them, and heading back into the sea was a memory that will stay with us forever. Thankyou Don for being such a great host, we highly recommend your property.

There was nothing we didn’t like but like some others have said some bottled water in room/at breakfast would be most helpful.

Thank you for the beautiful house! There are many different beautiful animals and birds around. The house was clean, the shower worked well, the breakfast was very tasty. Very good location, near a beautiful beach, where there are not many people, quiet and peaceful. The owner of the house will always be remembered as a very nice man, he took us everywhere we needed and helped us with everything. He tried very hard to make everything good. He was happy to tell interesting facts about Sri Lanka and answered all the questions. We also took advantage of the tour he offered which was excellent! A truly great person!

The room was very nice and Don was very friendly. He dropped us off and picked us up in weligama. He also gave the honest advice not to go the the Safari in Yala which we intended to go to due to large crowds, which was very appreciated by us.

For our purposes, the location was a bit off, but it’s close to some nice places and some good restaurants. So it depends a lot on what you want to do.

The location was beautiful and we saw lots of wildlife whilst having breakfast on the balcony each morning. The owner and the lady were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you very much for making our stay so wonderful and memorable.

Mr Don the owner is a very good person. He was very interested to make our stay great. He was always online since I did the booking and till the end. Helped a lot with all our request. Despite the facility is very simple, this money definitely worth that we got. Great location, a nice wild beach nearby, many place to go to eat. I like the place.

Spacious clean rooms with wonderful Sri Lankan breakfast every morning. The best part is the host, Don, who will help you with all logistics and help make your stay great. I just text Don, when I needed something or had questions. Don drove me and another guest to beautiful diyaluma waterfalls, arranged a canoe for birdwatching on kalametiya bird sanctuary, took care of all transports in town/to Yala using pickme rates, took care of our laundry, even called me when there r nesting turtles on the beach. I saw nesting and baby turtles. His guesthouse is close to restaurants, turtle beach and the lagoon. When my husband needed to see a doctor, he arranged a tuk tuk to take us in town and wait for us. It was perfect for us and we highly recommend Amours.
