IDA'S Homestay

The location is superb, absolute beachfront, but the bungalows are 50-60 meters back in a coconut plantation, with tethered cows grazing, very country Bali. Breakfast of pancakes was OK. I stayed here on a nostalgia trip, having first stayed at Ida's 40+ years ago. Not much has changed, still a rustic place, which has a lot of appeal. WiFi was good, fast and reliable. Ida's is budget accommodation.

Probably nothing. Much of the appeal is that it goes back 40 years, rustic, local architecture, with a true mandi, buckets of hot and cold water to tip over one's self. Aircon would be good, but I knew it didn't have aircon, so that isn't a negative.

A delightful restful time hearing the wave roll in with attentive staff and meals / drinks available . Walking distance to most amenities

This tropical paradise has not changed in 37 years , since my first time there. Beautiful, calm coconut groove with a balinese cow and calve.

the location is fantastic, the food is one of the best I had in Bali. The property is privat and the host makes you feel like you are home.

This unique accommodation in Candidasa is a long time favourite. To have such a peaceful and picturesque place in the centre of Candidasa is amazing. I could enjoy my days without leaving the grounds.

The WIFI was a bit weak but that was more than balanced by my bungalow being a few steps from the almost private beach and sheltered 'harbour'.

Fabulous location wonderful hearing the waves great breakfast lovely atmosphere with the coconut trees and cow on the property close to restaurants etc on the street. It’s raw and rustic and great value. As advertised there is only a box fan and no air con which sufficed during our stay in February.

The only thing I miss is a hammock!!😅😃

Old school Bali place with authentic Balinese and Javanese houses. Feels like how Bali used to be like 20-30 years ago. The curious ones will find more surprises there...
