Tortoise Trail Lodge

I did like the stillness so I could rest peacefully.Our Hostess made us feel at home and was very friendly💯She did give us heart welcome and always checked if we were ok.I will really come back next time

Due to the heath and loadshedding it was a bit warm the fan did help upgrade to Aircon would be a plus point.At First I was a bit scared for safety because of the open ness.but the manager assured us there is camaras.

It was quiet and peaceful. Clean. Breakfast was amazing. Host was lovely.

It's not what I didn't like, it really was lovely. Some things I think that were missing from the room and some information. There isn't anything to warm food or eat off if the host isn't around to do it as there is no access for guests to the kitchen. So you would have to eat out as its only breakfast that is served. There is a communal braai area, but if you aren't able to use the kitchen or have access to kitchen items, how would you braai or make salads etc. Pool is lovely, just needs some more dekking perhaps or repositioning of the chairs.

The loadshedding Back up power should be considered Also the fact that there is a beware of snakes sign The rooms should have something put on the windows and doors so that we can feel a bit free.. The door way should have a gate with a mesh on it, so that we don't have to worry about the creepy crawlies Bathroom supposed to have windows

The hospitality and breakfast

the hot water in the shower stayed warm for about 2 min before becoming ice cold again

The manager was warm and perceptive. She shared some wonderful recommendations of places to explore. The lodge is in a peaceful location and is beautifully decorated. Breakfast was a real treat!

Breakfast was amazing. Jackie the manager was helpful with recommendations of restaurants, she was also a friendly and welcoming host who made our weekend memorable.

Nothing The geyser is tricky at first but Jackie will show you how to switch the geyser on and you won't go wrong afterwards.
