The staff

I recently stayed at bay villas balapatiya but unfortunately, I had to leave after just one night due to my disappointment with the overall condition of the property. While I appreciate the efforts of the staff, the hotel did not match the images presented on your website. The property is in clear need of maintenance—there were visible stains on the bed and sofas, dirty walls, and lamps filled with dead insects, no tv, security cameras broken…The overall atmosphere made it feel as though the hotel is merely surviving rather than providing a comfortable and welcoming experience. Given the price we paid, I feel deeply dissatisfied with the value received. While I initially intended to document more of the issues, my disappointment left me unmotivated to do so. However, I did manage to take two photos that reflect my concerns, which I am happy to share if needed.

Bay villas was the last stop on our three weeks holiday to relax before we leave this beautiful island and it didn't disappointe us. the manager and other stuff were very kind and they went out of thier way to make us feel at home. the breakfast and dinner was fantastic and of course the views toward the ocean... almost private beach and good size pool. The bedroom and lunch are large and nicely decorated. We rented a tuk tuk and visited other beaches, Galle is only 45 minutes away from this villa... The lady who does massage at the property also was great. totally recommended. Thanks everyone for making our four last days in Srilanka memorable. Zara and Bruce

Fabulous place with almost private beach. Very clean and quiet place, you can relax without any distortions. The hospitality of staff is exceptional, serving you to fulfill all your needs. All breakfasts and dinners we took were delicious and perfectly tasty. This was one of tops of this stay.

The property needs some maintenance, painting and wood care. But anyway the space and views provided were overlapping it.

The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and safe as a female solo traveller. I had a very relaxing time after a hectic few weeks of travelling.

There are 3 separate rooms/villas that all face the beach. The villas are 2 stories with a full living area, large bedroom and 2 full bathrooms. Very large and well furnished. Leonard, the caretaker and manager was super! Very accommodating and friendly. Interesting to talk to and was available for anything we needed. The food (half board. Breakfast and dinner included) was really good. Always different. Loved all of our meals. The beach is just steps away and it’s a lovely spot. Just a great experience overall.

The setting was exceptional as were the staff. Amazing welcome from Leonard and staff were all very attentive throughout the whole visit. Food was also amazing!!
