Room on the River

Our host was really welcoming and gave us a quick tour of the room before leaving us to settle in. She was really approachable and helpful. The room was spotless and had wonderful amenities. We were in Cruden Bay to visit the puffins at nearby Bullers of Buchan, so the room was in an ideal location for that. It had a lovely garden space to sit in and views of the river, with the beach only a short walk away.

Great location. Easy walk to Slain’s castle, pub and restaurant. Quiet and private. Modern exceptionally clean facilities. Inclusions were above and beyond. Gillian has thought of everything a traveler might forget. She’s friendly polite and knowledgeable of the area. Thanks you for referring me to Newburgh for the seals. I have no hesitation in recommending or returning to your place.

I didn’t dislike anything.

We were welcomed warmly and all our needs were met. We felt comfortable and cozy immediately. A beautiful gem where you can relax after a busy day of sightseeing.

Accommodation was of high quality and every little detail had been thought of. Being greeted by Gillian when we arrived was a lovely touch. Continental Breakfast was amazing and kept well stocked up. Loved that you walked out of your room and you had use of the private garden which was nice to sit and have your breakfast in the mornings or sit in the evening with a wine or two.

Spotlessly clean, very comfy bed. Continental breakfast is provided with a good selection of juice, cereal, fruit, cheese, ham, croissants and pancakes. Selection of tea, coffee and sweet snacks. Bathroom, with shower is cosy and spacious. Well equipped mini kitchen with a large fridge. The room has a private patio. It is nicely located in the village.

In a lovely position by the river. Easy walk to the harbour and beach. Close to pub/restaurant. Very welcoming, friendly host..explained everything in the room and checked we had everything we needed. Very comfortable, spotless room and great shower with shower gel & shampoo supplied. Luxury bath towels. Continental breakfast was good..lots of choice and variety..all in the fridge ready for us in the morning. Would recommend. Thank you for my special birthday extras that meant a lot.

the perfect place to stay, lovely and comfortable. I had everything i needed and more. my every need was catered for. it was so relaxing. One of the best places I'd stayed in. As well as that it was in the perfect location. lovely host. One day I'm hoping to go back.
